The Garden Casita at the Hacienda, with its private entry portal, nestles into the grounds of the main house. Surrounded by gardens and potted plants, this is the ultimate escape for the two of you.

Your Casita is decorated with wonderful treasures Tom and Jerri have brought back from their many trips to Asia and South America. The queen bed from India offers regal comfort. Light the French fireplace for a romantic evening on those cool New Mexico nights. Snuggle into the warm robes that are provided for your comfort.

If you choose to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped. You can dine outside at your private table as you watch the hummingbirds dart about the gardens. Linger under the portal and watch the stars fill the sky.

In the mornings stroll through the gardens as the sun casts shadows on the native landscape.

When you are ready to venture out there are plenty of things to do. We’ll be happy to assist you. Tom is a wealth of knowledge on the history of the town and surrounding area.

Travel to Santa Fe with its historic Plaza, shops, world class museums, galleries, opera and wonderful restaurants. It is an easy 20 mile drive north along the scenic Turquoise Trail.

Only a five minute walk from the Casita is horseback riding at the best stable, Broken Saddle, in the Santa Fe area. Wonderful country riding and moonlight trips await you there.

You can hike or enjoy mountain biking just outside the village, never more than ten minutes away. Don’t miss the soft hills of Cerrillos Historic Park.

Visit Madrid with its unique shops, artist galleries and local restaurants only three miles to our south.

The many Native American Pueblos, ancestral cliff dwellings and petroglyphs of New Mexico await your exploration.
