¡Bienvenido!
The Hacienda Guesthouse
The Guesthouse is next door to the Hacienda, and is rented as a whole house for the ultimate in privacy. The two bedrooms have queen beds; one room also has a twin bed. The living room has a full futon pull out bed. All this space makes it ideal for large families traveling together to stay in the same place (can sleep up to seven). It is also the perfect getaway for just the two of you.
From the moment you drive through the private fenced yard of the Territorial style Guesthouse, you will feel right at home. As you step under the wrap around portal, the Mexican glass entry doors welcome you into the large living room with a viga ceiling. This is a perfect place for kicking back, enjoying a fire in the kiva fireplace, listening to music or watching a favorite movie from a selection of videos.
The bedrooms, one in soft pastels, the other deep warm gold, beckon you to curl up with a good book or just relax and catch up on your naps. Closet and dresser space are adequate for an extended stay. The heat and air conditioning in both bedrooms is individually controlled.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a table that seats six, a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, utensils, glasses and pots and pans for your cooking delight! Should you prefer outdoor dining, there is a gas grill, outdoor table and chairs in a garden, a chiminea (clay outdoor fireplace) and even a porch swing for the romantic in you.
The full bath, with lots of fluffy towels, is ideal for a leisurely soak. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience.
When you are ready to venture out there are plenty of things to do. We’ll be happy to assist you. Tom is a wealth of knowledge on the history of the town and surrounding area.
Travel to Santa Fe with its historic Plaza, shops, world class museums, galleries, opera and wonderful restaurants. It is an easy 20 mile drive north along the Turquoise Trail, a National Scenic Byway.
Only a five minute walk from the Guesthouse is horseback riding at the best stable, Broken Saddle, in the Santa Fe area. Wonderful country riding and moonlight trips await you there.
You can hike or enjoy mountain biking just outside the village, never more than ten minutes away. Don’t miss the soft hills of Cerrillos Historic Park.
Visit Madrid with its unique shops, artist galleries and local restaurants only three miles to our south.
The many Native American Pueblos, ancestral cliff dwellings and petroglyphs of New Mexico await your exploration. And so much more!
